Project ICICLE


ICICLE (2012 – 2013) stands for Inclusive Co-development and Implementation of a Community Learning Environment. The project was funded by the National Institute of Adult & Continuing Education (NIACE) and delivered by RIX Research alongside specialist software companies Multi Me and XT Learn, with RIX Research @ UEL providing coordination of the project evaluation.

The project aimed to create a model of community learning that used social media and the web to access information, link with peers and supporters, make personal plans and gain skills; Help people to take an active part in their communities;  Build skills, confidence and relationships for independent living; Learn safe web use and multimedia advocacy.
